I didn’t write the line “Love Your Bum”.
The art director, Pete Gatley, wrote it. But together we fronted and helped to win the pitch, and I sat through the casting of a lot of bums for the TV with Pete and director Tony Kaye.
The work made an impact, the ad drew complaints and everyone was happy. A few months later there was a “network realignment” and we lost the account to Fallons’.
